Battery Contact Spring

High-reliability metal contact springs engineered for battery compartment conductivity and tactile feedback, compatible with dry cells, lithium batteries, and power interfaces in compact electronic devices.

Highlights

  • Available in standard H-series heights (e.g., H3.5, H2.8, H1.4) and custom non-standard heights to fit space-constrained battery compartments
  • Base material options include C5191 phosphor bronze (high conductivity), SPCC cold-rolled carbon steel (high elasticity), and SUS301 stainless steel (corrosion and wear resistance)
  • Surface finishes: full nickel plating, selective gold plating (contact areas), RoHS-compliant tin plating, and electroless nickel — tailored to impedance and soldering requirements
  • End-to-end service from 3D structural evaluation and first-sample prototyping (≤7 working days) to tooling development and mass production

Battery contact springs are critical interconnect components in the power systems of electronic devices, serving as conductive pathways between battery terminals (positive and negative) and PCBs. Upon battery insertion, the spring undergoes elastic deformation under compression; its central contact point stably engages the PCB pad to establish a low-impedance current loop. Upon release, the spring automatically returns to its original position via material resilience, ensuring long-term electrical continuity stability across repeated insertions and removals.

Battery contact springs supplied by Zhuoyi Precision are manufactured via cold stamping in a single forming operation. Base materials supported include copper (C1100/C2600), stainless steel (SUS301/SUS304), and iron (SPCC). Surface finishes available include nickel plating, silver plating, or gold plating—balancing conductivity, corrosion resistance, and solderability. Structural design optimizes compression travel, rebound force, and fatigue life. Typical thickness ranges from 0.15–0.3 mm, with dimensional tolerance controlled within ±0.03 mm.

These products are widely applied in:
• Battery-powered terminals
• Compact portable devices— Bluetooth earphone charging cases, smart wristbands, electronic dictionaries, ordering terminals, digital cameras
• Industrial and consumer electronics— Security alarm systems, LED lighting driver modules, electric toys, radios, electronic locks

Unlike generic standard parts, Zhuoyi Precision supports custom development based on customers’ actual assembly space constraints, contact pressure requirements, and service life specifications (≥5,000 insertion/removal cycles). Customization includes non-standard profiles, multi-point contact layouts, reinforcing ribs, anti-misinsertion guide slots, and other detailed optimizations. Concurrent die tooling development services are also provided to ensure consistency from first-sample validation through mass production delivery.
